Market restaurants in Caribbean Islands

  1. A

    Grocery Store

There are grocery stores ; beside Aparthotel Varazul; at Caracol Pelicano; at Club Herradura and at Cabañas del Sol. Always check prices at these places, so the cashier doesn't overcharge you. Shops in the large resorts gouge their guests for mineral water etc.

  2. B

    King Lion Reggae Centre

There are stalls by the market and a bus station selling I-tal food. The best is King Lion Reggae Centre, serving health foods and juices for under US$3.

  3. C

    Mercado Agropecuario

The selection at Baracoa's market makes it abundantly clear how remote you really are, ie if it isn't growing right here, right now, you won't find it.

  4. Plaza de Marianao

Friendly local market with produce downstairs, and flowers and plants upstairs. Head east up Av 51 for amazingly varied peso shopping.

  5. Market

You can buy fresh fish and produce from the Market at the base of Great George St, but the sanitary conditions aren't great.
