I am considering two weeks in La Gomera next winter and this to as a threesome, my girlfriend, me and baby. I am just starting my research so forgive the perhaps superficial questions at this stage.
Some background first. I enjoy using any winter trip away to do a bit of exercise, be it walking or cycling. We, as a unit, like good food, wine and fresh air. Nothing noisy but some joie de vivre wherever we will stay would be welcome.
Essentially, any directions as to where to stay, type of…
We'll be travelling to Tenerife in June for 16 days with our 8 month old baby. First trip with the little one. We are wondering if we can do two more islands in this timeframe or just stick to two in total. We were thinking of La Palma and La Gomera.
We like walking, however we're not sure how we'll like long hikes with the extra weight. We would also like to log a few dives if possible.
We were also wondering if we should rent a car on all of these islands or is it easy to travel by bus…
Hey! I want to recommend to try The Masca Challenge ( http://www.sup.team/tenerife/activities/masca-stand-up-paddle/ ). It is Masca Hike + SUP Surfing lessons. Beautiful places, unforgettable moments and a great team!
we'll spend Easter holidays in Tenerife. I am 3 months pregnant and we have a 16 months old boy. Is the cable car to Teide suitable for children under 2 years? On their website they say it is not recommended for small children and pregnant women but is that over precautions or it's better talk to my doctor?
Will be in Playa del Ingles, Gran Canaria for a week (March 13th - 20th) and looking forward to do some scuba diving. I completed my AOWD two years ago, so some refreshing needed, and would like to do some full days in the sea, at least 2 of them, maybe more.
Which places would you recommend? Are some of the dive centres totally unavoidable? Which dive sites should I definitely see? Are there great differences in pricing? As I'm travelling light, I'll be needing rental equipment as well.
I'll be arriving at Tenerife South airport at about 11 a.m. I can't check into the hotel until 3 p.m. at the earliest. The hotel is in Costa Del Silencio, and that's apparently about 8 kilometres from the airport.
So, I figured I'd just walk (I'll only have small daypack with me). The only hassle is that, according to Google maps, there's an autopista in the way. Are people allowed to walk on those?, or is there some sort of back way to Costa del Silencio that avoids the autopista?
Does anyone have any info on how acceptable it is to camp on the beach in Gran Canaria? Is it free or illegal? All the above? Just want more information. If it is, in fact, illegal- does anyone have suggestions for cheap campsites or hostels? Thanks for any help or input!!
Can anyone recommend 3-5 nice towns to stay in in Tenerife in March. I will be with my husband and a 21 month old baby and another on the way. So not looking for nightlife but we still want some cafés and restaurants. I am thinking about Santa Cruz for few nights but after that I am a bit confused. We will have a car and want to drive arounfðd a bit but not too much.
I will be in Gran Canaria from 10th February. I would like to... well, just be in Canary Islands (I am thinking about hitch hike a boat to La Gomera) for two weeks, spend some time hiking, swimming and MEETING PEOPLE. Anyone have similar plans and want to meet up?
I am low budget "traveller" so maybe you know sth about wild camping on islands? Are they chase people away? I know about some documents on Gran Canaria and Tenerifa which allow me to camp but what about other islands?
