I'm a 32 year old guy travelling alone for a five day break in Gran Canaria from 4th September, and will stay in the south of the island. I want to fully enjoy the nightlife and nature, and also like meeting new people and fellow travellers!
Any tips, recommendations or people heading that way let me know 😉
Travelling by myself so just wondering what the best towns were on all the islands for nightlife and social hostels with young travelers! Also which areas have the most beautiful landscapes.
Hi guys just a quick one, we are going for a quick beach break to Tenerife in April back on 1st May. The question is this.........My wifes passport runs out on the 27th May the same month does the 6 month rule apply or is it ok to run the passport until the expiry date as long as we travell in the EU
Thanks in advance for any responses.
It the concept of Canary Island hopping a worthwhile one? My boyfriend and I have 3-4 weeks in May to travel, and are considering all of our options. We thought about Greek Island hopping but I'm not too sure the weather would be good enough during May. Thoughts, comments etc please?
I was wondering if anyone here had been diving and surfing in the canaries? I'm wondering which island would be best... I was thinking of going for 10 days and splitting my time between two islands. That being said flights are cheapest to arrive at either Tenerife or Gran Canaria, so maybe one of those two and then another island.
Any advice/knowledge passed on is appreciated!!
I would like to spend one week at the end of March 2015 at one of the canary islands.
Does anybody know a nice place to stay where I could have a detox or yoga classes or just a nice place to hang out with nice food and a beach close by?
Is anybody here going to Tenerife around Christmas this year (2014)? Perhaps its too late to post. But I am still hopeful. I am 26 year old Indian male traveling alone in Tenerife. I am mostly into hiking, cycling, photography and of course, partying late night. ;)
I have never been to the Canaries and have been put off due to the reputation of tourists and big resorts, however I have some time off work this January and am looking for a warm beach to go too, without spending a fortune.
Is it possible to find a quaint town to stay in? Sandy beaches and aren't overrun with deck chairs? Bars that aren't full of stag/hen parties? Restaurants that aren't full of Brits? Or am I chasing a empty dream?!
Any advise really appreciated! Thanks!
Hi, I'll be travelling to Gran Canaria during Christmas for five days. Lying on a beach or partying isn't really my thing, I'm trying to take photos of some beautiful landscape of the island. Which means I will probably have to travel around the island a lot, I am expecting 2-4 hours bus/taxi journey every day. But is there a particular place in Gran Canaria that will minimise time on the road? i.e. good amount of taxi and bus. I cannot drive so car hire isn't an option for me although it would…
We are thinking of visiting Gran Canaria in November but are not sure where to stay on the island. We want to avoid the busiest resorts but at the same time don't want to be too isolated. We enjoy scenery, culture, food and wine. I don't imagine it will be warm enough to enjoy the beaches at that time of the year? Can anyone recommend anywhere on the island that might suit?
