We are travelling to Fuerteventura soon and we are desperately trying to work out how to arrange an airport transfer from the airport to our hotel, because our hotel doesn’t offer this service. Our hotel is at the southern tip of the island and is about 1 hour 15 from the airport. We were not planning on hiring a car. ‘An airport taxi’ is looking to be £100 each way, which seems a crazy amount…
Any advice would be gratefully received. We arrive in the evening, so it is something we are keen to…
I have decided to leave Morocco soon and spend the winter in the Canary islands. I can fly to any island but need to find an English speaking dentist to have a tooth extracted soon. There is a flight tomorrow to Tenerife north. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Also, should I buy anything in Morocco before I go that is really expensive there? Anyone have an apartment for rent with good wifi? Thanks!
..is there a ferry service between the Canaries and Morocco?
I read of one that existed some years ago... until it sank <;-l
....has there been a new ferry put into service yet?
Any details would be much appreciated,, thanks!
Hi, just booked flights for 3 weeks over xmas and NY. Love Puerto Morgan and Las Palmas, however accommodation really hard to come by at this late stage. Really not keen on the big tourist traps of the south.......any recommendations which town / towns to stay in that will have beaches / natural pools suitable for swimming for 2 small kids (2 and 5) along with a play park or two (las palmas beach amazing for this). We could move once during the 3 weeks...thinking a cottage / holiday home in one…
Below is a rough sketch of a proposed holiday for myself and my wife. We are just over 60 and we are looking for a quiet holiday to break up the winter. If you have time please could you take a look at the schedule I’ve thought of and suggest any changes that you think would make it a better three weeks. We are looking to do a lot of walking and naturally want to get a feel for ‘local life’. We are hoping to swim in the sea and want to keep the cost down by self-catering. Three important…
Question for people who know Tenerife: Is the last week of November still a good period to visit Tenerife?
I heard about the great night skies and would like to see it for myself. I'd also like to hike to the top of El Teide, if the weather allows me to.
If the skies are still bright, where do you suggest me to go? I'm arriving/leaving at the airport in the south, but I think i'd prefer the greener north. La Orotava looks like a nice base...?
Myself and my wife (both early 60s)have just decided we want to get away from about mid November to early December - probably three weeks. We have always shied away from the Canaries (too touristy) but having done some initial research I feel that we may find peace and quiet, good walking and decent beaches in La Palma and La Gomera? I am hoping for some advice about Tenerife as it seems we will need to fly there first and then catch ferries. Does anyone have any strong opinions about how long…
in October I will be back to Canarias and this is time it is for Gran Canaria. I want to do the Saint Jakob trail over there, it is a 66 km hike from North to South, or viceversa.
Does anybody wants to join?
I´ll be there from Oct 17 to 24
I really hope someone can help us. We are desperately trying to organise some transport.
We are organising a group of 14 people to go to tenerife. We are doing a hike of teide for charity.
We have to transport the group on 4 journeys on different days
Tenerife south airport - vilaflor
Vilaflor to mont blanca ( start of teide trek )
Mont blanca - vilaflor
Vilaflor to El Bailadero
Unfortunately the Bus does not work as its timings do not fit. We have one person able to drive.
