Snorkelling gear is available for those who prefer to float on the water's surface, and there's also a nifty snorkelling course available.

    Puerto de Mogán is the main centre for diving on Gran Canaria, with caves and wrecks just offshore. Canary Diving Adventures is run by a couple of Irish brothers. It offers guided boat dives, four-hour (and longer) PADI certification courses and one-day beginner courses.

    The motorboat Tina cruises daily around the south and west of the island, towards Los Órganos, a weird rock formation visible only from the water. The day-long trip could include some spontaneous whale or dolphin watching, as well as a little tuna fishing.
