Lonely Planet review for BC Sports Hall of Fame & Museum
Located inside BC Place Stadium, the small but perfectly formed Sports Hall of Fame showcases top BC athletes, both amateur and professional, with special galleries devoted to each decade in sports. There’s a wealth of medals, trophies and sporting memorabilia on display (judging by the size of their shirts, hockey players were much smaller in the old days) and there are tons of hands-on activities to tire the kids out. Check out the stirring exhibits on Terry Fox and his ‘Marathon of Hope’ run across Canada, plus Rick Hanson and his ‘Man-in-Motion’ worldwide wheelchair journey.

Enjoyed the artifacts from the 2010 olympics!
keppler04 recommends this,
The artifacts at the BC sports hall of fame were amazing. I was so suprised to see the olympic torches and medals from the 2010 games. I was also thrilled to see Joannie Rochettes figure skating dress as i know she is French. I really liked the new interactive which allowed me to see videos and pictures on past inductees including NFL hall of famer Joe Kapp whom i did not know even played in the Canadian football league!
The interactives were fun as well. thanks!!

Museum will re-open November 4, 2011!
bcsportshall recommends this,
Due to the renovations at BC Place Stadium (where we are located), the Museum itself is NOT open to the public until November 4, 2011. We will reopen with a massive new gallery dedicated to the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Games, as well as a Canadian Football Gallery in time for the CFL Grey Cup that takes place inside BC Place on Nov 27, 2011. Our temporary phone number is (604) 647-7414. E-mails can be sent to sportsinfo@bcsportshalloffame.com
