Lonely Planet review for Phnom Penh

Arrive early or late to avoid the queues at this locals’ favorite eatery. The dishes here are split between Cambodian and Vietnamese soul-food classics, such as crispy frogs legs, spicy garlic crab and prawn and sprout filled pancakes. Don’t leave without sampling a steamed rice cake, stuffed with pork, shrimp, coconut and scallions, and washed down with an ice-cold bottle of Tsingtao. This is the kind of place that makes Vancouver Canada’s most authentic ethnic-food city.

    BEST chicken wings EVER!

    christinecao recommends this,

If you go and don't know what to order, you have to at least get their famous chicken wings. They are the best tasting wings I have ever tried anywhere! The skin is lightly battered and fried, making it crispy and fluffy. The best part is the sauce that comes with it. The sauce is a combination of lime juice, salt, pepper, and maybe some other special ingredient. It is beyond delicious!

Another one of their famous dishes is the rice with beef and egg (sorry I don't remember what it's called). And their noodles! My favourite is the Cambodian soup noodles. If you go as a small party, you might have to share a larger table with others. But to me, the long wait and sitting with total strangers is totally worth it!
