Lonely Planet review for Go Fish

A two-minute walk west along the seawall from the Granville Island entrance, this wildly popular seafood shack is one of the city’s best fish-and-chip joints, offering a choice of halibut, salmon or cod encased in crispy golden batter. The smashing (and lighter) fish tacos are also highly recommended, while the ever-changing daily specials – brought in by the nearby fishing boats – often include praiseworthy scallop burgers or ahi tuna sandwiches. There’s not much of a seating area, so pack your grub and continue along the seawall to Vanier Park for a picnic with the ever-watchful seagulls.

You just have to try this place

    madlinda recommends this,

I go to this little stand near Granville Island and by the fish docks every opportunity I get. I always take out of town visitors just to impress them with the food and view.
The restaurant is simply a small building located along the boardwalk by the fish docks. After you order one of the awesome dishes, you simply wait for your name to be called then sit either in the small eating area or anywhere you can find a seat. I have always heard rave reviews of all the food but for some reason I just keep ordering the halibut. Oh yeah, the fries are great too.
After you finish eating you can walk down on to the docks and pick up some fresh or frozen at sea prawns, salmon, tuna or whatever happens to be in season at the time. I must add that the view of Vancouver West End and the mountains is spectacular to look at I must say.

    Perfect for a summer day

    laura_cyprus recommends this,

Defiantly worth the 7 minute walk away from the overcrowded Granville island food fair. The fish is fresh and never to oily. Their ever changing menu is a pleasant departure from the average fish 'n' chip stand. They have mastered the classic and still strive to excite with unique options. Great for a sunny day were you can walk down the board walk and find a bench or nice pass of grass and watch the boat go by.
