Lonely Planet review for Fish House in Stanley Park

The park’s fanciest dine-out, the double-patioed Fish House serves some of the city’s best seafood. The menu changes based on seasonal availability but typical favorites include chili sablefish and cedar-planked char, while the fresh oyster bar is ever-popular with visiting shuckers. Weekend brunch is a highlight – salmon bagel Benedict is recommended – and if you haven’t eaten enough already the desserts are also surprisingly creative: save room for chocolate lava cake, then run around the park four times to work it off.

    For those special occasions

    madlinda recommends this,

This restaurant is located in the famous and fabulous Stanley Park. I was taken here for a special birthday dinner and thoroughly enjoyed it. I am always happy when I can go to a place where the chef is able to cook a prawn or shrimp dish to perfection. The party I was with chose several different dishes from the menu and each of us was very impressed by the quality and quantity of food received.
This is a restaurant that you would take someone to if you were trying to impress them. The prices are a little high but you get what you pay for.

    Fish 'n Chips Splurge

    leandraf recommends this,

This seafood stop wasn't exactly the budget fish 'n chips stand we were looking for to warm our bellies on a leisurely stroll around Stanley Park, but one look at the crispy, beer-battered halibut fillets on offer (salmon too!), along with the restaurant staff's willingness to accommodate our take-out request (no plastic forks, as this isn't the norm) and we were smitten. Rounding out our park-bench picnic with a robust order of sweet potato fries and a view of English Bay, we were the envy of each dog-walking, stroller pushing, jogger, that passed.
