Gallery Café information
The Vancouver Art Gallery's mezzanine level cafe is a chatty indoor dining area complemented by possibly downtown's best and biggest patio. The food is generally of the salad and sandwiches variety, but it's well worth stopping in for a drink, especially if you take your coffee (or bottled beer) out to the parasol-forested outdoor area to watch the Robson St clamor.
This is one of the city's favorite meeting places so it's often packed: arrive late in the afternoon for your pick of tables. And if you're sitting outside, keep your eyes on your grub: the local birds are especially bold here.
