Galley Patio & Grill

This is a terrific, unfussy perch at sunset, with its stunning views across the beach toward English Bay. Plop down in one of the plastic patio chairs (reservations are not accepted, so arrive early for the vista) then eyeball all the sailboats steering toward shore. The food is of the house-made comfort-food variety, with seafood dominating. It’s a popular spot for fish-and-chips, but even better for halibut tacos and an ice-cream-cone chaser. There are usually a couple of BC wine offerings, along with some tasty local brews from R&B Brewing (the Sun God Wheat Ale is a recommended summer quaff).
