Pat's Pub information
The Downtown Eastside's most-accessible dive bar started a century ago and has recently dusted off the jazz chops that saw Jelly Roll Morton play here back in the day. Monday night sees no-cover jazz shows from 8pm, while there are often other cover-free jazz and blues happenings throughout the week. Check the pub's website calendar for events.
The good-value beer menu includes house-brewed Pat's Classic Lager. And the food is a cut above typical pub fare – pulled pork poutine and edamame, for example – with almost everything on the menu priced under $10.
