Dockside Brewing Company information
Often overshadowed by the other brewers in town (being stuck on the quiet end of Granville Island doesn't help), Dockside's beers are made on-site and include the tasty, hibiscus-toned Jamaican Lager. Sup on the excellent waterfront patio for tranquil views of False Creek's boat traffic and you may have to be forcibly removed by the end of the night.
If it's raining, stay indoors by the fireplace and sink into a leather couch. If you're not sure which beer to have, try a tasting flight. Dockside also offers free brewery tours (4:30pm Thursdays) for those who reserve ahead. If you're lucky, it'll be led by the brewery's old-school German brewmeister, who certainly knows a thing or two about great beer.
