Darby's Gastown information
Reinvented from its former incarnation as Bitter Tasting Room, this brick-walled Gastown satellite of a popular Kitsilano beer bar has increased the draft menu to include offerings from some of the region's most talked-about producers. Sidle-up to the C-shaped bar and taste-test tipples from Strange Fellows, Persephone, Tofino Brewing and Crannog Ales. Also ask about any special casks that might be available.
The food menu has also been beefed up, with meatball sliders and brisket sandwiches to keep you from imbibing too much. Alternatively, take a break from your boozy shenanigans with one of the free-use board games on the side table; unless Yahtzee drives you to drink, of course.
