Tour description provided by Intrepid

Discover the wonders of Canada’s Rocky Mountains. From the big cities of Vancouver and Victoria to the superb scenic delights of Jasper National Park, pull on some hiking books, grab a paddle or gear up in a swimsuit to explore this region from all angles. Make tracks to Banff, keeping eyes peeled for cougars, elks and grizzly bears, and be wowed by the spectacular blue lakes, snow-capped mountains and dense emerald forests of this spectacular national park.

Day 1 Vancouver
Stroll down the streets of downtown Vancouver, dine in Chinatown or catch a gig at the Orpheum Theatre. Otherwise find a restaurant with a view of the Rockies and admire the craggy peaks that line the horizon.
Days 2-3 Victoria
Catch the SkyTrain to the ferry terminal in Vancouver before boarding a ferry to Victoria on Vancouver Island. Take an educated stroll through the Royal BC Museum, wander around the landscaped gardens of Beacon Hill Park, go on a whale-watching or bear-spotting tour, or enjoy some of the region’s very best seafood.
Day 4 Overnight Train
Ferry back to Vancouver, then catch a train north-east to Jasper. It is a long ride but the spectacular scenery of the Rocky Mountains along the way will inspire the days to come.
Days 5-6 Jasper
Known for its amazing wildlife, including elk, moose, deer, coyotes, grizzly bears and mountain lions, Jasper is also the largest of Canada’s Rocky Mountain parks, with a greater area than Banff, Yoho and Kootenay combined. Hike up Whistler's Mountain, bike in the Valley of Five Lakes or cruise the turquoise waters of Maligne Lake. For a more relaxing option, head to the Miette Hot Springs for a soothing dip or have a drink at Jasper Brewing Company, where premium hops and malts are on tap late into the night.
Days 7-9 Banff National Park
After stopping at Columbia Icefields Centre, Athabasca Falls, Sunwapta Falls, Weeping Wall and Crowfoot Glacier, arrive in Banff for some seriously stunning views. This is a thrill-seeker's paradise, so perhaps take a nice long trek, paddle a canoe over aqua waters or cycle beside snow-capped mountains. Then retire to bed with a hot chocolate and some killer mountain views.
Days 10-11 Calgary
Chill out in Prince's Island Park, head up the Calgary Tower for fantastic views across the city or learn a new sport at Canada Olympic Park. Later, get the group together for a final meal in Calgary's expansive Chinatown before raising a few Labatt Blue beers to the end of an incredible Canadian adventure.
