    Lyle's Place

The city's best new and used record store, Lyle's is the perfect place to hang out with like-minded music fans on a rainy afternoon. Ask staff about the local music scene and they'll point you in the direction of Victoria's best live venues - you can also buy tickets for local concerts here.

    Sillons

This independent record store has been around for almost 20 years and specializes in jazz, world music and music from Québec and France. It’s not the best place for metal or hip-hop but other than that this is a great place to come if you want advice on which Jean Leloup or Les Colocs CD you should be adding to your collection.

    Vinyl Exchange

This used-record and CD shop will sort you out with hard-to-find tunes to fill out your collection. It's worth a browse just to see the descriptions about the artists. Take the Tragically Hip for example: 'a beloved Canadian institution – we, however, prefer universal healthcare.'
