Lonely Planet review
Overlooking Victoria Park, this 1927 former grand dame of the Canadian National Railroad maintains a lofty presence. There's a degree of wow-factor upon entry, but pricey rooms are on the small side. The period decor won't suit everybody. If not to spend the night, stop by to enjoy the old-world charm of the Monarch's Lounge.
