Vietnamese restaurants in Québec

  1. A

    Hoang Oanh

The Vietnamese baguette sandwiches here are the very best in Chinatown. There’s an endless choice of fillings but the grilled chicken or tofu varieties topped with mayonnaise, veggies and coriander are pretty unbeatable.

  2. B

    Ong Ca Can

Despite its crisp white linens and intricate artwork, this bustling Vietnamese restaurant only looks pricey. The kitchen staff gets most things right, although the lemongrass rolls and anything involving beef get especially high marks from loyal patrons.

  3. C

    Cali

Cali is a decent hole-in-the-wall place, with friendly, good-humored waitstaff no matter how busy things get. The deal with this place is to get you in and out as quickly as possible, so don’t be surprised if your order lands in front of you, piping hot, literally moments after you order it.

  4. D

    Phó Bang New York

Near the gateway to Chinatown, Phó Bang New York has decor and service geared more toward Westerners who want to have their pho (noodle soups) in swisher digs. The food here is still good and regularly makes people’s ‘top’ lists, but it lacks the kind of manic energy that makes the other Vietnamese places on this drag so atmospheric. The pho here tends to be leaner than at other Chinatown spots.
