Getting there & away

Buses (418-562-4085; 521 Rte 132) arrive at and depart from the Irving gas station, 1.5km east of the town center. Two Orléans Express buses a day go to Gaspé ($28, five hours) and Rimouski ($24, 1½ hours).

A ferry (877-562-6560) links Matane with Baie Comeau and Godbout. The ferry terminal is off Rte 132, about 2km west of the town center.
