Eastern Townships

Getting there & away

Coming from Montréal, Hwy 10 will take you straight to the Eastern Townships to just east of Sherbrooke where it continues as Rte 112. Coming from Québec City via Hwy 20, the fastest route is via Hwy 55, which you’ll pick up near Drummondville.

Limocar operates bus services between Montréal’s Station Centrale de l’Autobus and Magog ($30, 1½ hours) and Sherbrooke ($33.50, 2½ hours) up to 15 times daily. Seven of these buses also stop in Granby ($21, one to 1½ hours), while Bromont is served twice daily ($24, 2¼ hours). Orléans Express goes to Trois-Rivières ($27, 1½ hours) in the Mauricie region eight times daily.

Autobus Viens operates three daily bus services between Montréal’s central bus station and the townships of Sutton ($18, one hour) and Lac Brome ($19, 2¼ hours).

The ride-share organization Allô Stop (819-821-3637; 1204 Rue King Ouest) has a branch in Sherbrooke. Rides to Montréal/Québec City are $11/16.
