Lonely Planet review for Carthage
This BYOB (bring your own bottle) Tunisian restaurant offers couscous, meat and vegetarian specials, all lightly spiced. Tables and chairs fill the colorful room while at the tables by the windows patrons kneel on cushions in traditional Middle Eastern style.

Not impressive for Montréal standards
dainha does not recommend this,
Having said that I'm from Montréal, the quality of the food was mediocre! I read the reviews for this place, and I was really hoping to have a great north African meal; but instead I got nothing but bland flavorless tepid food and waiters that were unattentive, unfriendly and slightly bitchy. It's my first review and I hate to be harsh, but this place was pretty bad.
For starters, we were only offered the table d'hôte menu. Vegetarian meals? Mmm... Let's put it this way, the only vegetarian meal was not even on the menu. My lamb was quite dry, hard and not hot enough. The table d'hôte comes with tea or coffee and a choice of dessert, however... Our waitress plopped two plates of baklava on the table (without giving us a choice of dessert), and promptly left without offering us our selected beverage. A few minutes later we managed to get her attention and ask for our drinks ourselves. We waited about 10mins after asking for the bill, just to hear her asking us to go pay at the bar counter...
I think the most attentive staff member there was, the dishwasher (apron included) who took care of cleaning the tables, whilst the waitress was lighting candles. Bad experience, I'm not coming back. -
Just delicious - Que de Délice
saelelios recommends this,
This restaurant is amazing. The place is fully decorated with typical marocan and tunisian stuff and they serve an amazing couscous. Also, their Kefta is very tasty. If you go there by a saturday night, there is a women dancing baladi all around the tables, it gives an special touch, very nice.
Prices are very cheap at dinner! Like 7$ + tax&tip for an hole dinner (about 10$)Ce restaurant est tout simplement incroyable.
Good for: Romance, atmosphere, food, Budget Travellers, Groups, Solo Travellers
