This bright and buzzy space has high ceilings, huge windows looking onto the street and a long wooden table down the middle where diners tuck into tasty gourmet sandwiches (ham with green apples and brie; hot roast beef sandwiches with blue cheese, caramelized onions and horseradish), satisfying soups and fresh salads. The attached bakery with its displays of sweet temptation is too hard to resist. It’s a bit of a madhouse at lunchtime.

    This is a delicious and charming café and bakery. The food (sandwiches and salads) is perfect for a light lunch. The atmosphere is wonderful with a dessert counter, a gelato counter, long wooden tables, and just a generally French feeling.

    While touring Old town this is a must for a lunch break. Sandwiches, salads, pastry items and the deserts are all delicious. We had a sandwich and salad for lunch but lucked out as they were giving samples of their stuffed breads and sorbets. Reasonably priced and good food!
