Greek restaurants in Ontario

  1. Riv Bistro

The dark-blue awning and crisp white-clothed tables are reminiscent of a faraway Greek isle (as is the rowdy mural on the wall). The Mediterranean dishes are great, too.

    Ouzeri

Try some sensibly priced mezes (Greek tapas) and sophisticated seafood at family-friendly Ouzeri. Roast eggplant with a Greek salad and a cold beer will set you back around $15. There’s live traditional Greek music on some nights (avoid if escalating bouzouki tunes aren’t your bag).

    Myth

Inside a converted movie house, Myth serves the Danforth's chicest mezes beneath bizarre medieval machinations suspended from the ceiling. Small portions of mezes approach mythical prices, but the balsamic-marinated octopus with roasted peppers or Mediterranean stuffed calamari might be the best you'll ever have.

    Pilos

This excellent Greek joint is hidden in a nondescript plaza east of downtown. You won't find any tourists here, just contented locals savoring colorful combinations of juicy souvlaki and battered calamari. Take Rideau St east until it turns into Montréal Rd.
