This thread is intended to contain information useful to people travelling to Canada - please feel free to add anything relevant to it! Before we start though, here's some advice from the TT team:
Do a TT search! At least five posters a week ask what to do in Toronto, whether to go visit Niagara Falls on their way around the world, and whether it's possible to work under the table/overstay a tourist visa. The road is well travelled. Find those threads, add a reply (which brings the…

We plan to visit Newfoundland this fall. We will spend 3/4 nights in St. John's and rent a car to tour the countryside for 6/7 days. We would appreciate itinerary suggestions as to a route to follow. The route needs to be a loop as we fly out of St John's. Our interests would be a view of a small town/village reflecting the culture of the area, a historic site and lovely views.

We are planing a family vacations with kids in Nova Scotia end of June. I have few questions and hope folks with first-hand experience here can help :))
Are there any good hikes with a good chance to see tides/ tidal rips near Wolfville in addition to the Cape Split hike? I do not think my daughters - especially the 2.5 years old one - will handle 14 kms/ 5-6 hrs of Cape Split hike. Are hikes around Hall's Harbour that LP Guidebook mentioned good to see tides?
We are thinking of taking a tour of the Maritime Provinces with Anderson Vacations but cannot find much in the way of reviews on them. Has anyone traveled with them, and if so, how did you find them? Would appreciate any advice you might have. Thanks.
I want to travel to Eastern Europe and Asia and I'm looking for a reliable travel agency in Toronto.
Probably, there are a lot of people here who travel a lot and some of you can tell me about your experience with different agencies.
Hello fellow travelers and Canadians!
I am in the final stages of planning a solo trip to the Rockies for the end of July and beginning of August this summer and am looking for some advice and suggestions about my rough itinerary for the 10 days that I will be there.
Do you think I have devoted enough days/time to adequately exploring each park, and more specifically to Jasper? I have been to Banff and Yoho previously so I have a better idea of what I want to do there but I haven't been to…
I have tried to determined what documents are needed for US minors (under 15) crossing the border by land, but the Canadian government websites are more convoluted than the US ones. One page suggests a passport may be needed, but the only definitive answer it gives is proper documents "like a passport." The embassy in DC however suggests only a copy of a birth certificate is required, which is the same as US requirements. It also hasn't been updated since 2013, and I know visa info can change at…
