Getting there & away
The closest form of public transportation to Algonquin Park is the Greyhound bus connecting Toronto to Maynooth ($50, four hours), 44km from the East Gate. Bus service is only available Sunday, Wednesday and Friday. Hammond Transportation offers a shuttle service from Huntsville (43km away) to the park’s West Gate. Tourists can reach Huntsville on an Ontario Northland bus. Several resorts and hostels offer private shuttle services into the park (prices range from about $8 to $35).
