Unfortunately, video has never really been something I’ve put a lot of [...]Cross Canada Video Tour: Halifax is a post from: I Backpack Canada

Where in the World?
Blog: Sophie's World - 26 October 2011
A new week, a new travel quiz. Where in the world is this? A crisp autumn day three years ago, the girls and I walked through this cemetery. It was a melancholic walk past the graves of hopeful immigrants, of children, of those never found. Two questions this time: Where in the world is this [...]Where in the World? is a post from Sophie's World

Arriving back in Halifax only a couple days ahead of Canada Day after my 2 week stint in Saskatchewan, I hardly felt prepared when Canada Day arrived on my doorsteps. Despite my lack of preparations, I wasn’t going to fail my country. I was going to go out and have a grand ol’ time. My [...]

Blog: Sophie's World - 19 February 2010
Halifax is a very walkable city and we trotted around enough to safely say we know the compact city centre fairly well. Apart from just ambling around, we had a quick look at the citadel, enjoyed the public gardens, walking along Halifax harbour and exploring the excellent Maritime Museum of the Atlantic with its moving Titanic exhibit.
