This thread is intended to contain information useful to people travelling to Canada - please feel free to add anything relevant to it! Before we start though, here's some advice from the TT team:
Do a TT search! At least five posters a week ask what to do in Toronto, whether to go visit Niagara Falls on their way around the world, and whether it's possible to work under the table/overstay a tourist visa. The road is well travelled. Find those threads, add a reply (which brings the…

Hello: My friend and I would like to go to Newfoundland to see the icebergs at their best. I have heard that the best time to go, when you're likely to see them is July- August. Does anyone out there have any suggestions? We will fly into St. John's probably and rent a car. Maybe an RV? We're in our 60's so camping doesn't appeal to us but nature does and we like to be independent as well... Suggestions for sights to see as well would be welcomed. We are in good physical shape for…

I don't know is this the right place to ask this question. But this is only place I found that responds by someone.
I am a srilankan. I am looking forward to migrate to Canada at least for 5 years. I am looking for a sponsor from Canada.
I think I have qualifications as a skill migration because I have completed a electrical engineering degree and also experience in the industry.
Can anyone advice me on this
Hi I will be traveling from San Francisco through Canada to end up in Massachusetts..
All this with Greyhound bus.
1) do I need a visa? I read that US citizens can travel in Canada for 6 months with no visa. True?
2) how long will it take to cross country by bus? I would like to stop in Calgary ...or does anybody have done this and have suggestions?
I thank you for a reply
Hi,Has anyone done just one way crossing from NS to PEI and then taken the bridge off? is the ferry only offers round-trip crossing from Nova Scotia to PEI.
I am about to start booking our accommodations and need to figure this out first...I would appreciate first hand experiences here. Thanks!
I'm 20yr male moving to canada alone with a 2 year working visa. I land in Vancouver in June and have accommodation for a month. I have no set plans and would love to backpack across the country any advice or tips?
Would be great to meet up with other travellers.
