Called the ‘Glooscap Trail’ in provincial tourism literature, the area is named for the figure in Mi’kmaw legend who created the unique geography of the Bay of Fundy region. Unfortunately, stories and representations of Glooscap are easier to come across than genuine acknowledgments of present-day Mi’kmaq people.
