The decor is super eclectic (no longer all tin foil but more mosaic and do-it-yourself relief), you will enter what seems like a labyrinth (especially when you'er looking for the bamboo bathroom).  The set menu (at a reasonable 15$) never disappoints and allows you no stress over decisions.  You can choose between some drinks, and if you only drink water he'll serve it in a 2L bottle (go ahead and ask him why)... Appetizers have been soups lately and touch every taste receptor on your tongue.  You can choose between reduced main portion or regular, but the Golden rule here still applies; If you do not finish what's on your plate you must donate (a 5$ fee that goes to a charity down the street).  Your desert will likely be a limit-reaching level of richness but a perfect portion makes it supremely acceptable.  Music is mellow and varied, complementing the atmosphere.  Your host/chef/maitre D will engage in topical issues if approached with curiosity or humour.  An experience to be had while in the city that never sleeps.  Reservations usually not necessary but appreciated.
