Riding Mountain National Park/Canada

Introducing Riding Mountain National Park

Rising like a vision above the plains, Riding Mountain National Park is more than 3000 sq km of boreal forest, deep valleys, lofty hills and alpine lakes. It rewards those with an hour or a week. You might even see a bear or a moose.

Most of the park is wilderness; Wasagaming, on the south shore of eponymously named Clear Lake, is such a perfect little summer town that it would be a cliché if it weren't so, well, perfect.

The beautiful 1930s visitors center contains impressive dioramas, the invaluable Visitor Guide and backcountry permits.
