Lonely Planet review for Pagliacci’s
At Pagliacci’s, unlimited baskets of fresh focaccia bread are delivered to the marble-topped tables. Generous pasta servings from the cinema-themed menu almost defy devouring; try the Hemingway Short Story (beef-stuffed tortellini).

Expect to have to roll yourself out of this place.

I've been countless times and have never had a less than wonderful time. Do expect a line to get in, but it's certainly worth the wait. If you have any willpower, try to resist the urge to eat ALL the focaccia and save some room for dinner.
The feta fatwa is possibly the best appetizer I've had...ever. The ravioli paradissio and Hemmingway short story are both fabulous. If you can still think about food after dinner, have the checkerboard cake for dessert. If you can't think about food after dinner, order the checkerboard to go and have it the next day. I also highly recommend Sunday brunch. -
Intimate and satsifing

Known for close tables and full plates Pag's is a great destination. In the day the bottomless soup is delightful and taste homemade. Pasta is the feature in the evening, with almost too many options and unique combinations. Most dishes are available in the half or full portions. Unless you’re a lumber jack or wanting leftovers, opt for the half, so that you have room for the marble cheesecake or checkerboard cake- both not to be missed. Don’t worry if you walk up and see a lineup, they often offer red wine to those who have to wait, and it’s worth it!

Delicious pasta

Always a popular choice with locals and visitors, but the line up is worth the wait. This isn't the place for anyone on the Atkins or South Beach diets. The menu is loaded with generous portions of delicious pasta. And free bread is provided.
Note: the restaurant is fairly noisy as they pack the tables quite close to each other. Be prepared to accidentally overhear your neighbor's table conversations.Good for: atmosphere, food, Budget Travellers, Solo Travellers, Families
