  1. Darcy's Pub

Eschewing the DJ route, this laid-back pub offers free live acts every night, ranging from weekend cover bands to a Monday night open-mike session. In between, it's singer-songwriters with weepy love songs to get off their chests. While few of the acts are likely to set the world on fire, they provide a relaxing accompaniment to the pub's convivial atmosphere.

  2. Irish Times

Residing in a handsome old bank building, this lively Celtic bar is a cut above standard Irish pubs. The interior is a pleasing fusion of high ceilings and dark wood finishes and the draft selection is a cornucopia of popular favorites from Ireland, France, Belgium and the UK. The menu has some gourmet flourishes (the shareable seafood tower is recommended) and there's live Irish music every night.
