A highlight for many visitors is a boat ride with Waterton Shoreline Cruises across the lake's shimmering waters to the far shore of Goat Haunt, Montana, USA. The 45-minute trip is scenic and there is a lively commentary as you go. Grab your passport before you jump on the often rather full boats, as they dock in the USA for about half an hour.

The great melting pot of the only bar in town. Visitors and townsfolk mix together and groove to the thumping tunes. There's a pool table and a reasonably sized dance floor to really get to know the local crew. It heats up after 22:00.
