My Favorite Restaurant
hhalpern recommends this,
This little restaurant has an atomosphere like no other. With local art displayed and service with a genuine smile there is no doubt that you feel comfortable. Being a vegetarian I find there are several choices to suit my taste buds. My favorite meal is a veggie burger. All the sides are homemade (from the ketchup, to the relish). I have found no veggie burger like it anywhere. As well, I am the biggest fan of their bread pudding. It has the perfect consistency and taste. MMMMM...my mouth is salivating just thinking about it!
I take all my friends here who visit from out of town. It truly is a gem of Edmonton!Good for: Romance, atmosphere, food, Budget Travellers, Groups, Solo Travellers, service, Families

Comfort food
carobujold recommends this,
This is one of my favourite spots in Edmonton. Friendly service and good warm comfort food are the signature at this restaurant. Located at the heart of the student quarters, between Old Strathcona and the University of Alberta, you can even visit your local Hostelling International shop and catch a movie at the old Garneau theatre while you're in that area. It's easy to feel at home in this cosy bohemian atmosphere. Enjoy the work of local artist displayed of the walls and be sure to try their chicken cheddar sandwich, with fries and home made ketchup. Yuuuummm!
