In 1962 Peter's opened its doors and locals have been flocking there ever since for the super-thick shakes, burgers off the grill and fries done the way they should be. It's a true drive-in, so either bring the car along or be happy to eat on the lawn out front. On a Friday night, it's a popular hangout for the automotive set.

    IF you're in need for a great burger, fries, and shake, Peter's is the place to be. the burgers are done to perfection, with the best toppings, and the best taste. the fries are just fantastic, and the milkshakes? well they are amazing...... dozens of flavours to choose from; what you want is what you get. my personal favourite? MARSHMALLOW! sounds strange, i know, but the taste is amazing, and the consistency is just right. it is kinda too bad they are a drive in, cause there are those times it would be great to sit down in a restaurant and enjoy their delicacies, but hey, the drive-in is what makes Peter's so unique. It is an experience every time i go. Peter's is definitely one of the best burger places I've ever been too!!!!

    You get what you order at Peter's. If you order a shake, you get a shake, thick and creamy and as tall as an old-time metal shake cup. If you order a family sized order of fries, you get a box of fries that may be a whole bag of frozen fries. If you order a double burger, you don't just get two patties of fine grilled beef. You get two and a half! Service is quick and efficient. Definitely worth the fame. Tour buses stop here regularly. Cash only! Expect crowds! Take your special someone and drive to a picnic spot overlooking downtown Calgary. It's a local tradition.

    If you want to know what it feels like to go back in time this is a must try. Burgers and shakes the way they used to be. A must place to take the kids or grandkids!
