Lonely Planet review
Banff's newest hotel opened in 2007 and justifies its four-star billing with an eye for the aesthetic and great attention to detail. Bright, modern rooms have retro-patterned wallpaper and unique interesting wall-prints, while the reception has enough trickling water to invoke flashbacks of Rome. The crème de la crème is the inspired recreation of the Cave & Basin springs in the hot tub area with an open hole in the roof that gives out to the sky. The bar-restaurant is called Chilis and serves, among other things, excellent margaritas. The town is a 10-minute walk away.
