The 10 guestrooms in this 1908 country lodge are definitely small, but each is uniquely decorated and depicts a different theme pertaining to local wildlife or history. Prices here vary wildly by season, dropping quite low in the winter.
If you're interested in Canadian history, grab the Trapper's Cabin room. It does a good job of evoking the Canadian Wild West - walls are adorned with snowshoes and bearskin and it comes with a blazing (albeit electric) fireplace and high gabled ceilings. The mountain views from many rooms (or just from the front porch) are another selling point; they truly are fantastic. The hosts put out fresh baked cookies and hot chocolate in the afternoon, and are happy to chat about what to do while you're in town. The shared kitchen (and included buffet breakfast) save those on a budget big bucks in the dining department.
