Lonely Planet review
Standing like a guardian of Bow Lake, the historic Num-Ti-Jah Lodge is full to the brim with character and backcountry nostalgia. Built by pioneering backwoodsman Jimmy Simpson in 1923 (12 years before the highway), the carved-wood interior displays animal heads and photos from the golden age of travel.
The rooms are tidy, if a little small, and there's an on-site restaurant with an extensive wine list.
Our independent authors have visited Num-Ti-Jah Lodge and selected this as one of our recommended accommodation in Banff & Jasper National Parks.
