Aurora World
Twice a week they do a two-hour boat tour on Great Slave Lake (around C$40). On demand there's also a basic, 2-hour bus tour of the city (around C$35); a weekly trip down Ingraham Trail to Cameron Falls (around C$60); and, in late summer through winter, aurora borealis viewing tours (around C$90). In winter they have multiday aurora packages, with dog-sled and caribou-viewing options.

L’école de Voile de Lachine
Located on the edge of Lac St-Louis, the Lachine Sailing School organizes regattas on the St Lawrence River, gives free boat tours in late June and early July and rents light craft (windsurf boards, small sailboats and catamarans). Qualified instructors give windsurfing and sailing courses in summer. One-week sailing courses cost $160.

Bluenose II
This classic replica of the Bluenose racing schooner is sometimes in Halifax and sometimes in Lunenburg. It was closed in 2010 for refitting but should reopen in 2011. Check the website for details.
