Hello! We are planning a trip to Bali and Cambodia for 24 days (Dec 19 - Jan 11). We are a traveling couple and both 30 years old. We chose these two countries because of the scuba diving in Bali and for Anghor Wat in Cambodia. One of us has traveled to Thailand and Hong Kong, and for the other its the first time in Asia. One of us is a dive master while the other still needs to finish the open water certification. We're not really interested in crazy parties, drinking, or crowded tourist areas…
Hello! My partner and I are traveling in May/June 2017 (5 weeks) and will be flying from USA to Phnom Penh. In addition to Cambodia, we also want to see Laos. Does anyone have updated information on best route to get to Laos? Bus? Flights? Border scams? Thank you so much! Ann
I'm planning a three-person two week trip in Cambodia in January with the aim to do a self-guided bike tour - no particular itinerary at this point. I'd like to rent decent bikes with pannier racks in either Phnom Penh or Siem Reap, and ride around the place till we're done, and catch a bus back to the starting point to drop the bikes off and fly home. Can anyone recommend bicycle hire places in Cambodia? I've contacted Cambodia Cycling in Siem Reap, who run guided cycling tours and apparently…
I'm a French girl living in Cambodia, struggling with digestive issues. I've found ONE box of enzymes here in Phnom Penh but now all the pharmacies are getting out of stock. I was wondering if some of you were coming soon to Phnom Penh, so I could buy and send some of these at your place, and then meet you when you arrive and get these precious enzymes, and then pay you a beer to thank you :)
Please let me know if you plan to come soon, I swear I'm not ordering cocaine :D
Hello. I'm spending 21 days in Cambodia. Start my trip in PP and will end up in thousand islands in Laos. My question is what is the best route to take and how long to spend in each place. I'm really looking forward to some beach time but I want to see and learn about as much of cambodia as possible. My budget is $40 a day. I am very open minded on my interests. I like everything from cooking classes to trekking to partying to cylying. So please suggest anything YOU personally think is worth…
Can anyone recommend any good boat trip companies operating from Siem Reap to Ho Chi Minh?
Most of the research i do comes back with big boats for elders package deal people - wanting a more authentic backpacker type experience.
Thanks for any advice.
Do anyone have some contacts to tuk tuk driver which can be rent to visit Angkor Wat? I know there are many tuk tuk driver on the Siem Reap street but I need to rent some driver before comming to Cambodia.
An "experience of a lifetime"... to spend a day with free roaming (rescued) Asian elephants at Mondulkiri Elephant and Wildlife Sanctuary, Sen Monorom, Cambodia.
The morning starts with a beautiful, leisurely walk through wonderful scenery to locate the elephants on the hill. You then get to spend a little over two hours enjoying the elephants company, taking photographs and learning about them and their habitat. Just sitting there and watching the elephants eat and roam freely and without a…
Is there any exotic off beat photography locations in and around Siem Reap other than popular Angkor temples ? I would be visiting between October 26- Nov 2 and I don't have any idea how crowded it would be there in SiemReap and angkor temples. I love to click temples which are still not much explored by tourists.
What is the traffic towards PP like around the Bon Om Touk water festival (13, 14, 15th November 2016)?
Does the travel take much longer because so many people hit the capital those days?
Is it worth to adapt our itinerary to fit PP visit around these days?
Is it worth to visit the 3 days of the festival?
Is it best to make hotel reservations up front?
