  1. Photo Essay: Kep’s Abandoned Mansions

Blog: Lonely Girl Travels - 24 April 2011

Before the war, beach-side Kep was a fashionable get-away for Phnom Penh’s well-heeled. Opulent homes were built into the cicada-buzzing green slopes, washed in the smell of salt and seafood. They were all abandoned, of course, in 1975; as the war reached on into the 90s, the facades crumbled and the green grew up in [...]

    Blog: 2 Wheels - 1 World - 0 Money - 19 May 2010

This is my last day in this paradise. My last day on the peninsula called Kep on the South Coast of Cambodia. There are more paradises to be discovered. And I cannot stay here forever, I wanna explore of more of this wonderful country. I wanna meet more of those always-smiling, super-friendly Cambodians. Blog: 2 Wheels - 1 World - 0 Money - 15 May 2010

I'm sure nobody is going to believe me when I say: "I'm just not finding the time to blog." You'll say: "He's just wandering about and taking vacation… The least he can do is to tell some interesting stories about Cambodia." I wouldn't have believed it myself, but the beach, the pool, the jungle, sunshine everyday and the terrace on which they serve me Nutella pancakes and from which I can see the ocean and islands, distract just too much from everything else. I think I'm in paradise.
