Preah Monivong 'Bokor' National Park Training & Research Facility

It's possible to overnight near the old hill station at the Preah Monivong 'Bokor' National Park Training & Research Facility, a national ranger training centre whose green Khmer-style roofs are easy to spot. The simply adorned rooms have comfortable beds (up to four) and hot water. Air-con and fans are not necessary up here, though extra layers may be, as temperatures can plummet as low as 12°C at night. Signs ask you not to open the window because the wind can get so fierce that it blows the dropped ceiling panels out of place! It's a good idea to call ahead for reservations.
