Lonely Planet review for Van’s Restaurant

Located in one of the grandest buildings in the city, the former Banque Indochine, you can still see the old vault doors as you make your way to the refined dining room upstairs. Dishes are beautifully presented with a decorative flourish, and menu highlights include sea perch carpaccio, tender veal and Grand Marnier soufflé. Cheaper set lunches available.

Old french colonnial building with a romantic garden setting

    jazzjac recommends this,

The service is pretty good here. The waiters brought in the menu and food quickly . Its not crowded and recommended for a romantic dinner for two. French music plays in the background and you can choose to sit indoors or in the garden below frangipani trees.

We enjoyed ourselves away from the hustle and bustle of the city noises and crazy tuk tuk drivers.

We ordered a lamb shang, escagots, two glasses of wine and a steak. Total damage 75USD
