Lonely Planet review for Baitong

Promoting itself as a Thai restaurant, it offers a range of Mekong flavours, including Khmer, Lao and Vietnamese. The prices are very reasonable and options include a buffet lunch for around US$3. It acts as a bit of a hub for the NGO community with a resource library and meeting rooms.

Not bad but also not budget.

    mydnightx does not recommend this,

After getting tired of trying to find authentic Khmer food, trickier than it sounds, we decided to check out this place; purportedly one of the best places in town. It was good after a long hungry trek to find the place, but I am not sold on going back. Once is enough. We tried the Cambodian soup, the amok, some spring rolls and the beef lok lak. The amok was quite tasty but the small portion was no exaggeration on the size; literally a bowlful. "Fresh spring rolls" were good. They charged us 1.5usd for rice which was the difference between my 3 and 2.5 stars.

The food was good. There was no service so to speak but what can you expect in a country where you don't have to tip. Is it worth a trip out specifically to eat here, no. If you are on your way to the s.21 museum, it is on the way, but I think there must be better deals for your USD in town.
