    Located in one of the most atmospheric colonial-era properties in the city, there is an art gallery below and a refined bar above that hosts regular bands. Happy hours run from 4pm to 8pm daily and they serve up monster mojitos, as well as tasty Chinese bites.

    One of the few bars in town where you can wash up any time of the day and find a fellow drinker supping a beer, this is a friendly air-con spot with big screens, a pool table and cheap drinks. Not a hostess bar, unlike many others in this strip.

    Head up to the rooftop of Quay for big views, cooling breezes and happy hours (half price) from 4pm to 8pm. The cocktail list here is arguably the most creative in town, including zesty infusions like ginger and lemon grass.

    If you prefer the grape to the grain, then make for this small wine bar with a big personality. The bar is lined with wood and spills out onto the pavement, while the lengthy wine list includes the best of the new-world wines.

    This German bar, pork knuckles and all, is a cosy place boasting the largest beer selection in Phnom Penh, including fancy flavours from Belgium and Germany and cheaper local brews. Live music most nights.

    Located on the corner of the ‘Golden Mile’, this place was always destined to be popular and is a darling of the NGO crowd, with cheap beer on tap, cocktails and a menu that travels the world.

    A newish bar that is turning heads. Enter the cocktail lounge, chill out amid cushions and drapes in the middle and then take a swim in the indoor pool, part of the small nightclub out back.
