    A lonely dining experience.....

    So how do you feel about eating on your own when you go out as a couple? Come to the White Rose and find out. After ordering fairly basic fish and rice/noodles dishes, mine turned up 40 minutes before Dani's (my partner), thus rather than wait till it was stone cold, Dani got the pleasure of watching me eat my food. As I type this I am watching Dani eat her meal. The location on a balcony overlooking Battanbang's streets could as the Australian's behind us commented 'romantic', and since they got the majority of their food before Dani (even though they entered the establishment 45 minutes after her), I guess they are the anointed ones. We on the other hand are left with that bitter taste of knowing what it is like to dine alone, even as a couple.

    Highly recommended for couples who have just had a fight and want to feel like they are alone, but are still dining at the same table. Food not the cheapest or the best you will find in the area. Oh and the Australian couple just left before Dani had got halfway through her main meal.

    Do yourself a favour and walk down the street in any direction to find cheaper beer, tastier food and oh so much better service.
