I cannot travel without a hammock........I like to look like a Corona beer commercial..........lol..........so, do I need to drag my big, heavy hammock, in my luggage with me from home, or are they available for sale there? Thanks
I have just watched this beautifully filmed documentary on DVD.
It portrays three young people and the challenges they face as their traditional family livelihoods are diminishing and the need to leave their village to seek employment elsewhere.
Well worth watching. Maybe you can watch it on youtube.
I bought the DVD at Monument Bookshop in Cambodia.
After quite a lot of Googling and searching this forum I decided to ask this question in a new post. I am travelling to Phnom Penh in a month. I plan on staying there for at least two months, but may stay there longer.
I am looking for people who have experience with continuing their prescribed anti-depressant medication in PP, or Cambodia in general. I have been prescribed 20mg of Paxil (Paroxitene) for the past two years, and do well on it. I have read that there are no prescriptions…
If we fly to Sihanoukville is it easy to get to where the boat leaves from the mainland to Ko Rong. Mini van at airport?? Bus?? Taxi?? How long does it take and what is the name of the coastal town the boat will leave from. Thanks guys.
My boyfriend and I have been driving our motorbike around SE Asia for 5 months now and with 1 month left to go, our Vietnamese blue registration card has been stolen (along with other valuables). We were wanting to sell the Vietnamese bike in Siem Reap, but now the blue card is gone we aren't sure what to do. We have read it's hard to replace the card and without it, the value of the bike is not much. What's our best bet? Replace the registration card? Sell the bike to a secondhand…
I am making a last minute snap decision to spend my 4 days of holiday over Pchum Ben exploring Cambodia by motorbike. I will be on a 125CC semi-automatic.
My idea right now is to go from Phnom Penh up to Krong Kampong Chnnang, sleep, then head on to Krakor and take a tour of Kampung Luong by boat.
Does anyone know if Krakor is the best place to go to find a boat? And can you actually spend a night sleeping on the floating village in a homestay?
The next bit might be crazy but is it…
I am trying to figure out how to get from Phnom Penh to andoung teuk. It seems that the best is to buy bus tickets directly from the bus companies.
Do you guys know if I can buy the bus ticket directly on the bus station, and when is the opening hours? We are arriving at Phnom Penh 8pm, and will be leaving around 07:45 the next day. I really want a seat on a bus at that time!
It also seems that Virak Buntham is the only company who can take me to AndoungTeuk, when I look at Soroya I…
Does anybody have any experience and/or advice for sport fishing in Cambodia? Spots to fish at and what type of gear or rig?
I brought a mid weight collapsing rod to the Philippines before and had a little luck catching some Tilapia and Grouper (Lapu-lapu) and was wondering if it would be worth bringing it to Cambodia where I'll be visiting most of October.
Pulling in a fish off the banks of the Mekong might be fun, but also trying to figure out how much gear I really need to bring.
What's the best way to travel from Sihanoukville to Siem Reap? I'm travelling in November & have tried booking a flight on the Angkor Air website, but my payment details are not going through. Do I need to worry about not booking in advance, are there any other other websites to buy tickets through or better ways to travel? My trip is only 14 days so don't have too long in Cambodia.
1) Is it possible to go at rainy season (we will be at Cambodia from 24.9 to 6.10.) from Pursat to Kaoh Kong and stop at Ou Som?
We want to do some trek in Ou Som and then in Kaoh Kong.
2) Is it possible to do trek to Phnom Samkos? If it is not, is it needed to have a guide when we will do trek to Phnom Aural?
Thank you for answers .)
