Getting Around

Bush Taxi

Bush taxis (taxis-brousses) are generally beaten-up old vehicles that cover routes to outlying communities that large buses don't serve. Most leave from the gares routières (bus stations); morning is the best time to find them. There are more-or-less fixed prices, starting from CFA1000, that local people share. You can bargain if you're hiring one alone.
