Possibly a bit of an odd question, I'm flying into Ouaga shortly & haven't been there for almost 2 years. Previously you could get a SIM card without registering it.
Anyone been there recently (3 months or so) & knows the current procedure? I land at midnight & need to be heading east the next morning but need to make calls en route. So ideally would like to buy one at the airport
I'm staying behind the Cathedral, so I'd need a MTN/Orange etc shop nearby if I have to buy & register a SIM card…
I'm a Swedish doctor trying to visit all the countries in the world within my life span. Have been to 169 this far.
Now, I plan to visit Burkina Faso, Niger, Tchad and maybe even the Central African Republic (CAR) a couple of weeks in 2017, either for Easter or in the summer.
These countries are, for obvious reasons, not very well covered by guide books and rarely visited by tourists, save the UN Peace keeper, NGO-worker and hard core globetrotter. Therefore, I decided to try…
A friend and I would like to hire a driver/guide for ~5 days to take us around Burkina Faso. Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced person who speaks decent English? Thank you.
Hey guys I was wondering if it is still possible to obtain the visa for Burkina Faso at the airport in Ouagadougou. I cannot seem to get a clear answer. Hope someone can help me out as I really would like to go to BF!
Has anyone recently crossed the boarder between Ghana (Paga) and Burkina Faso (Leo) and knows how much visa's cost. Everyone says it cheaper to get a visa in Accra or Kumasi. However, as I am based in Tamale it will cost me to get to Accra/Kumasi or use a travel agent. As such, I am trying to find out the cost of the visa at the boarder.
The specific visa I am interested in is a 12 month multi-entry visa.
I understood this was on even numbered years, but some sites are offering booking for Feb 2017. I find no info on festima site. Does anyone know if there is to be one 2017? Is it becoming annual? Thanks
I am travelling overland to Burkina from Ghana (crossing the boarder at Paga) and have about 8 days to spend in the country (before heading back to Ghana). I hear Tiebele is worth a visit and I was planning on spending a couple of days in Ouagadougou. However, I was hoping to find out if anyone else had any recommendations of places to go that wouldn’t involve spending too much time travelling?
I have done Mole National Park in Ghana so have largely ignored Reserve de Nazinga. Is it…
