Hôtel Mercure Silmandé

The owners of this former Sofitel have yielded to the inevitable and downgraded the hotel to a more reasonable four stars. As such, it no longer suffers from disappointed expectations and - until Accor's new Sofitel is completed in the Ouaga 2000 development south of town - is the city's most luxurious hotel. In addition to semi-luxurious rooms, there are ample grounds, a swimming pool, tennis courts, Internet access, a good restaurant and bar, and traces of former luxury throughout.
